If you attend the zoo on a Friday in the spring, be prepared for an increase in kids. This is due to field trip season. The zoo is large, so it usually doesn’t feel crowded once inside. Most schools arrive when the zoo opens. They leave in the early afternoon. The zoo also allows bags, wagons, and strollers. You can pack a lunch and bring outside food if you do not want to eat there.
Spring Break will be the most crowded time to go to the zoo. Be prepared to park in the overflow grass parking near the entrance off University Dr. and for there to be a lot of traffic around the zoo.
