I grew up in Fort Worth, surrounded by neighborhoods that felt established, familiar, and deeply connected to the rhythm of daily life. It’s the kind of city where history isn’t preserved behind glass—it’s lived in. From the brick roads along Camp Bowie to family-owned businesses and homes that adapt as generations move through them, Fort Worth has always felt grounded and enduring.
My husband, Josh, and I met here. Our story is woven into the city—our first date in Sundance Square, our wedding rehearsal dinner at Joe T. Garcia’s, and the birth of our first child at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Hospital. At the time, we didn’t yet realize how much Fort Worth would shape the life we wanted.
Like many young families, we left DFW to pursue careers and experience other cities, spending seasons in Chicago and Austin. Those places offered opportunity and perspective—but it was the distance that clarified what mattered most.
Fort Worth wasn’t just where we were from. It was where we wanted to raise our family.
When we returned, we gained a deeper appreciation for what makes this city unique: the small-town feel within a growing city, pride in its southern roots, and neighborhoods designed for community and family life. That perspective now shapes everything Cowtown Charm creates.
As a mom of two and a realtor, I bring both lived experience and professional insight to this work. Cowtown Charm explores Fort Worth homes, real estate, neighborhoods, and family lifestyle with intention—looking at how architecture reflects history, how families adapt homes to modern life, and how transitions—moving, staying, or growing—can be approached thoughtfully rather than urgently.
